Duck the Floatant is a fly floatant using brand new technology developed by the Gulff laboratory. Its properties outdo conventional floatants by far. It is time to revolutionise the market!

As the names suggest, the General version of the product is intended for general use, and is suitable for nearly all flies, while the CDC version is particularly designed for CDC materials and other sensitive natural materials. Unlike other floatants, this new floatant is silicone-free, and also free of any substances that are hazardous to waters. The refined three-substance complex ensures long floating times. The floatant’s properties and crystal-clear colour also enhance the original colours of the fly. Gulff’s chemists have developed the floatant in collaboration with Swedish and Finnish surface fly fishing experts and social media influencers, as well as product safety consultants.

Fly tying needs great threads. Made from continuous strands of modern manufactured polyester for maximal strength and minimal cost. Pre-waxed and ready to use with dubbing, fur and feather. The Classic Waxed Thread 6/0 240 Yards – Black hold well on the hook and make adding dubbing and materials to flies simple with easy handling. Polyester based these are strong threads and have best value on the market with 20% more thread than competitors at the same price.

Floss has often been used as the body for flies, from trout to traditional salmon patterns. Typically these have been heavy, thick flosses. Semperfli team decided to change the rules, creating a thin floss, just 400 Denier that could be used for smaller trout flies and simply doubled over for use on Salmon patterns including classic salmon flies. By creating a thinner fly tying floss the capabilities and uses of this stunning material are enhanced so it can be used as the body for flies of many sizes.

Semperfli Bugback 1/8″ Thin Skin is flexible clear 1/8″ (3mm) wide Black stretchy material (thinner than our standard ideal for using on various nymphs, scuds, wet flies, saltwater etc. 5 feet per pack. Makes perfect czech nymphs or shrimps which can be made bulletproof with a coating of No Tack UV for a hard shell back which is virtually indestructible.

Tie on and tie off with thread. Rather than cutting simply wiggle and it will break saving damage to your scissors.
